OrFA’s goal is to provide education services to orphanages in East Asia from primary education through secondary education as well as special education. We envision this through 3 programs released in phases.

Phase 1:

Fresh Start

Once we have established our partnership with the qualifying orphanage, OrFA will provide funding for primary and secondary education for ALL able children residing therein under the Fresh Start program. OrFA will cover all education-related expenses including tuition, additional school imposed fees, books, backpacks, and any other school related expenses to provide the child with a quality educational experience. Endowment to each orphanage depends on the number of children and the school fees and costs for the local area. On average, the Fresh Start Program costs $300 per child per year for 2016.

Phase 2:

Future Prep

For the Future Prep program, OrFA plans to nurture and encourage each child in our partner orphanages to pursue a post-secondary education (whether it is college or trade school). OrFA will assess the child’s wish for their career projection. For the child wishing to pursue a higher education, we will provide scholarship or match the child to a donor who wishes to sponsor the child’s post-secondary education. For the child wishing to pursue a trade school, we will either provide scholarship or partner with another non-profit that offers trade school training in the local area. On average, the Future Prep Program costs $425 per child per year for 2016.

Phase 3:

Special Education

The Special Education Program provides assistance to qualifying orphanages caring for children with disabilities. Our goal is to employ teachers specializing in special education on a full-time basis to work with such children and to provide additional training through partnership with institutions in the US and in their local communities.
